How can anyone govern a nation that has two hundred and forty-six cheeses?

Back in the time of Charles de Gaule, this may have been true but there are considerably more now.  Every region of France has its own distinctive range of cheeses. Given the number of new products that are currently being produced by the country’s hundreds of dairy companies and artisanal fromagiers and the number –-according to The Cheese Times site -–is over 600!
